More This and That

Every year is a little different and while I’ve been incredibly busy, it’s been with a wide variety and large quantity of often smaller-scope projects, not to mention there’s some things I’ve been frenetically working on the side that I hope to announce soon. Here’s a small sampling of what I’ve been working on. Let’s get started with JDavis Architects and

Precision Biosciences: Behind the shoot

A question I’m often asked by potential clients is “How do I work?” to which I typically answer, “Well what are you looking for?” At first glance it may seem a generic response but having been in business for 9 years, collaborating with over 150 clients in 15 states, ranging from multinational companies to one-person shops, I’ve quickly learned to

This and That

Due to my faulty memory, I’m posting two blogs in one day with another sample of projects I’ve been working on: Over the past couple of years, university and housing has become a major staple of my work. Little sent me to University of North Carolina-Greensboro to photograph the new Spartan Village student residences.  The major challenge was all of

So, I forgot to post this blog…

I was supposed to post this in March. Whoops. Okay, so this is some stuff I photographed over the course of last winter… Clark Patterson Lee has been pretty awesome putting me on various projects.  I had a ton of fun with the PART Coble Transportation Center, but also got to document the Ecolab interior office space in Greensboro, NC.

The Dallas area – In Between Work

I recently returned to Dallas-Ft. Worth area on assignment and meeting several potential clients.  Travel to Texas coincided with my birthday, so I carved a few spare hours to shoot for fun.   With my handy 35mm Fuji in tow, the first location I revisited was the Irving Convention Center just to see how I’d shoot it differently than in 2012

Two Houses – Zipper Architecture

Among the first few blogs will feature projects still remaining from 2017. Last fall I captured modern houses for Ryan Edwards and Zipper Architecture.  The first residence you can’t help but notice – after all, it’s red.  A covered walkway bridges between the house and separate, enclosed garage. Inside, steel column and beams allow open the first floor containing the

Dixon Middle School – North Carolina Architectural Photography

Last post I claimed we were going back to school, right? I wasn’t exaggerating! Recently I wrapped up the Dixon Middle School in Sneads Ferry, NC for Smith Sinnnett Architecture.  It’s a pretty sizable school for almost 1000 students, designed for both student expansion and flexible, technology-enabled environment.  This is the entire school featuring the gymnasium-side hall entry.   Centered

Campbell University Residence Hall – North Carolina Architectural Photography

BACK TO SCHOOL! Apparently it’s some sort of cosmic joke paying off my student loans partially hinges on photographing university architecture. This time, I went to nearby Campbell University to capture the brand new Luby Wood Residence Hall designed by Little.  I had never previously been the campus before and wasn’t sure what to expect on the grounds, the entire

Onslow County Consolidated Health Services Building – Architectural Photography

I had the opportunity work with Raleigh-based architects Smith Sinnett on a couple of projects in east North Carolina. One was the Onslow County Consolidated Health Services building, located in Jacksonville, North Carolina.  It’s a facility that combined the county’s health and social services departments into one building.  It was interesting to see how the building was planned to carry,
