A year ago I ventured up to Denton, Texas to capture the architectural renovations to Texas Woman’s University Brackenridge Hall for PBK and Hill & Wilkinson General Contractors. It’s the full revisioning of a building formerly known as “The Union”, now housing student services and support.
The interiors features sweeping curves via the drop-ceiling and floor patterns, and colorful university graphics.
I always enjoy finding view the architect didn’t plan for but fits into the storytelling of sharing design. Here visual connection to outside is maintained through the window arcade. 
It’s rare that I get to pepper as many S-curves in a photography assignment!
That connection to outside is bridged by an open, long, and narrow staircase that ties and flows into every floor.
I’m sure the place is buzzing when full of students!
The stairs terminate on the bottom floor where a TWU logo is showcased in relief with inspirational quote.
This was definitely a unique project that served as a stellar upgrade for a traditional university building!
