Some takes from this past Saturday with the Triangle Photography Club and Raleigh Outdoor Photography Club.

(I’ve obviously been watching too much John Rosenthal photography)

At the state capitol, I played a bit with the tilt-function on my lens, so the entire image isn’t exactly sharp. Oddly enough, I think the subtle difference helped bring more attention to the entablature and columns.

And finally, the Wachovia Capitol Center – something about this monolithic thing always brings out a different photograph each time I pass it.

One of the unexpected side effects of going full force into professional photography is that I rarely shoot simply for the fun of it. The general tasks of starting up and marketing a business, not to mention performing the work has greatly reduced the time I have to shoot otherwise. However, I do go out once in awhile, sometimes joining fun groups such as the Triangle Photography Club during their outings. In fact, I’ve been using them as my main source for doing such things!

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA
A couple weekends ago, I had what boiled down to a 36 hour trip to Charlotte. Hopefully I’ll get there for a longer period so I can spend more time seeing friends and viewing more sites.
